Soft Corals

“Soft corals” is a broad term used for most corals that do not have a skeleton. Some examples of soft corals include leather corals, xenia, anthelia, zoo’s and paly’s and mushrooms. Soft corals prefer the highest water quality as well as moderate flow along with proper lighting (metal halide, T5 or LED are recommended) to thrive. The addition of phytoplankton/zooplankton as well as iodine weekly along with proper maintenance will help keep them thriving.

Keeping with our coral mantra of exotic and hard to find corals, MDL offers Soft Coral Combo Rocks available that are like snowflakes, no two are exactly the same. You will find a unique selection of soft corals all contained on one rock. These combo rocks are the perfect addition to a nano tank or larger reef aquariums to help brighten up the tank and add some variety to your tank.
