General notes: Blue Mushrooms can have a "pinkish", purple-ish tint to them. Much of their deep blue color depends on the lighting they come from and the lighting to which you accoustom them to. The more light you give them, the closer they will stay to the rock and the bluer they will be. Fragments can be taken to be separately grown. Allow room to expand. Mushroom corals are either the hardiest group of cnidarians or close runners-up. They can be easily maintained in "standard" or reef-type marine aquaria, are hardy, undemanding, very good choices for beginning to advanced hobbyists. All they ask for is iodine supplementation without too much light or strong current.
Water parameters: Keep water quality high (SG 1.023 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F).
Specifications: Due to variations in growth of Corals from variations in depth, environment, flow, etc. it is impossible to pinpoint exact sizes. These sizes are very approximate and will not apply in all situations. If you have any questions regarding size please contact your MarineDepotLive.com Customer Service Technician. SMALL is generally around 3 - 4 polyps on a rock smaller than a baseball, MEDIUM is generally 4 - 6 polyps on a rock smaller than a softball and LARGE is generally 6 - 10 polyps on a rock larger than a softball.

Note: Due to variations among each species, livestock may not look identical to the image provided. Expect diversity since each animal is unique in color, texture and shape.

Comments: The coloring was good. Lots of little mushrooms on one rock. It has fit into my tank well and both a hardy and welcomed addition.
