Maximum Size: the Chaetodontoplus personifer grows up to 14 inches.
General Size Specifications: The small size will come to you generally 2 to 3½ inches; the medium generally 3½ to 5 inches; the large generally 5 to 7 inches; the XL generally 7 to 10 inches.
Minimum Tank Size: The Personifer - FEMALE Angel prefers a tank of at least 100 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet: The Chaetodontoplus personifer is a omnivore. primarily feeds on sessile invertebrates, algae, sponges, and tunicates. should be offered a captive diet high in protein, with sponge material i.e. ocean nutrition angel formula. and likes to eat marine algae, mysid shrimp, Spirulina, sponges, and other meaty treats.
Level of Care: The Personifer - FEMALE Angel is a medium maintenance fish.
Behavior: The Personifer - FEMALE Angel may act semi-aggressively toward other fish.
Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F).

General Notes: Chaetodontoplus personifer (McCulloch 1914), the Personifer Angelfish... which used to be "the" fish of this genus to have. Separate from the similar C. meredithi.Full size angels should not be mixed with other full size angels, unless it is in a tank of at least 180 gallons. The Personifer Angel although not one of the more colorful species is still a popular Angel. Not brought in in large numbers from Australia, the Personifer Angel closely resembles its close cousin the Meredith Angel, but can b distinguished by its caudal fin, as the Meredith s is pure yellow, while the Personifer s is yellow with a black vertical bar going thru it. The Personifer Angel is a very good candidate for mixing with other Angels in a larger community aquarium as well, and will be a very curious and bold specimen as well.
