Imperator Angel (Adult) - Pomacanthus imperatorAlso known as: Emperor Angelfish Maximum Size: the Pomacanthus imperator grows up to 16 inches. General Size Specifications: small 2 to 3; inches; medium 3 to 4; inches; large 5 to 7 inches; XL 7 to 10 inches. Sizes may vary slightly due to availability. Minimum Tank Size: The Imperator Angel (Adult) prefers a tank of at least 100 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim. Diet: The Pomacanthus imperator is a omnivore and likes to eat veggies, meats, and angel preparations, sponge, algae. Level of Care: The Imperator Angel (Adult) is a medium maintenance fish. Behavior: The Imperator Angel (Adult) may act semi-aggressive, but makes a clicking noise when aggressive.ly toward other fish. Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F). Range: Fiji, and Red Sea, Found on Reefs throughout the Pacific, into East Africa, and the Red Sea. Has been found in the Hawaiian Islands as well.. General Notes: Pomacanthus imperator (Bloch 1787), the Emperor Angel.Full size angels should not be mixed with other full size angels, unless it is in a tank of at least 180 gallons. A beautiful, and hardy species the Imperator angel is one of the more striking of the commonly offered Angels. Best kept in a tank no less than 100 Gallons, it can act aggressively towards other Full size Angels. It is suggested to aquire a Juvenile specimen as the Juveniles are easier to adapt to a captive diet.
