Tonga Fighting Conch - Nassarius species Color: The Tonga Fighting Conch has a cream or white with brown spots color. Size: The Tonga Fighting Conch may grow to 0.5 inches. Diet: Carnivore. Feeding: It likes to eat Eats detritus and carrion. Behavior: The Nassarius species is generally peaceful toward other tankmates. Care: Many consider the Nassarius species a low-maintenance specimen. Not venomous. General notes: TheTonga Fighting Conch may grow to 5 inches and live for up to 15 years. Herbivore/Detritavore. The Tonga Fighting Conch is peaceful toward other tankmates, but can dislodge rocks in smaller tanks. Excellent for cleaning cyano, hair and ditatom algae off sand. Has a flat, opaque, brown `claw` that it uses for balance, movement and to defend itself. Will not likely attack tankmates or your hand when you reach in the tank.
