Hermit Crab (Assorted) Crab - Dardanus megistosAlso known as: Red Hermit Size: The Hermit Crab (Assorted) Crab may grow to 3 inches. Diet: Omnivore. Feeding: It likes to eat eats meaty bits of seafood, algae and detritus. Behavior: The Dardanus megistos is generally semi-aggressive toward other tankmates. Care: Many consider the Dardanus megistos a low-maintenance specimen. Not venomous. General notes: Will eat mollusks, tube worms, algae. Lives symbiotically with anemones. If you use them, place about one, two small Hermits per actual gallon of your system. Use a mix of species and make sure and provide many "upgrade" homes (empty shells) for your Hermits to move to. Water parameters: Keep water quality high (SG 1.023 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F). Specifications: This item comes to you in a general size.
