Color: The Anchor Coral (Ridge) (Colored) has a tan, brown, green, gold color.
Type of hard coral: Large polyp stony coral (LPS).
Diet: Carnivore.
Feeding: It likes to eat Filter Feeding Invert Food, Meaty bits like raw shrimp, Silver Side and Mysis Shrimp.
Behavior: The Euphyllia ancora is generally aggressive toward other tankmates.Care: Many consider the Euphyllia ancora a medium-maintenance specimen.
Lighting: Has intermediate lighting needs.Symbiotic algae zooxanthellae are hosted within this organism.
Water flow: The Anchor Coral requires low water flow.
General notes: The Euphyllia ancora is a moderately easy and attractive addition to any tank. Similar to its cousin Euphyllia, Branching Hammer Coral, the Anchor Coral is slightly harder to care for. The name refers to the anchor shaped polyps that resemble the anchor of an old Square Rigger ship. This coral prefers to have moderate light and current and will eat most microplankton foods and appreciates a small bit of raw shrimp, silverside, and mysis shrimp feedings a couple times a week.
Water parameters: Keep water quality high (SG 1.023 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F).
Origin: The Anchor Coral (Ridge) (Colored) is commonly collected from Indo-Pacific.

Comments: This coral is great. It lights up my tank and is very appealing to the eye. I am so glad I bought this coral. I feed it brine shrimp.
