Type of hard coral: Small polyp stony coral (SPS). Diet: Planktivore. Feeding: It likes to eat Filter feeding invert food only. Behavior: The Pocillopora species is generally semi-aggressive toward other tankmates.Care: Many consider the Pocillopora species a high-maintenance specimen. Lighting: Has strong lighting needs.Symbiotic algae zooxanthellae are hosted within this organism. Water flow: The Cauliflower Pocillopora, Brush Coral, Clustered Coral, Cauliflower Coral, Lace Coral, Warty Coral requires strong water flow. General notes: The Pocillopora Coral is considered a difficult coral to acclimate. Once established it will become a very hardy coral as far as the SPS Corals are considered. This coral is very aggressive and it will sting any coral it comes in contact with.
