Color: The Bubble (Pearl) Coral has a tan, white, cream color.
Type of hard coral: Large polyp stony coral (LPS).
Diet: Carnivore.
Feeding: It likes to eat Filter Feeding Invert Food, Meaty bits like raw shrimp, Silver Side and Mysis Shrimp.
Behavior: The Physogyra species is generally aggressive toward other tankmates.
Care: Many consider the Physogyra species a low-maintenance specimen.
Lighting: Has intermediate lighting needs.Symbiotic algae zooxanthellae are hosted within this organism.
Water flow: The Pearl Coral, Pearl Grape Coral, Pearl Octobubble Coral, Pearleye requires low water flow.
General notes: The Physogyra or Pearl Bubble Coral is a moderate light coral that can often send out long sweeper tentacles and sting corals in close proximity to it. Has been noted to spawn in captivity. Likes to eat most any filter feeding foods but also appreciates silversides, raw shrimp or mysis shrimp feedings.
Water parameters: Keep water quality high (SG 1.023 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F).
Origin: The Bubble (Pearl) Coral is commonly collected from Indo-Pacific.
