General notes: The Nemanzophyllia turbida or Fox Coral has a wall like skeleton. Polyps resemble a corallimorph or mushroom coral polyp when extended. Relatively peaceful coral that lacks sweeper tentacles but may kill any coral the polyps come in contact with. The polyps are a creamy white, tan or pale green and will often phospheresce green when healthy. The Fox coral is a relatively easy coral to keep requiring moderate lighting, good water quality and will react well to feedings of Cyclop-eeze, mysis shrimp, and small bits of silversides and micro-plankton foods. In order for this coral to grow you will need to maintain your calcium in this system.
