Maximum Size
: the Cephalopholis miniata grows up to 16 inches.
General Size Specifications
: The small size will come to you generally 2 to 3 inches; the medium generally 3 to 5 inches; the large generally 5 to 7 inches.
Minimum Tank Size
: The Miniatus Grouper prefers a tank of at least 100 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet
: The Cephalopholis miniata is a carnivore and likes to eat meaty treats (like krill, small fish, shrimp).
Level of Care
: The Miniatus Grouper is a low maintenance fish.
Behavior
: The Miniatus Grouper may act aggressively toward other fish.
Hardiness
: This is a hardy fish.

General Notes
: Since groupers are generally larger fish, it is recommended waste removal efforts be increased within the aquarium system. Cephalopholis miniata (Forsskal 1775), the Miniata Grouper, Coral Hind. Undoubtedly the most prized, frequently used member of the genus for aquariums. A beauty that is intelligent, and capable of gulping up small fishes and motile invertebrates.
