Even though they hide most of the time, it is nice seeing them appear after I feed my fish to pick up the scraps that end up on the sand. One time it attacked a small hermit crab and attempted to drag it under the sand. Luckily for the hermit, it came out of its shell right before the shell was fully submerged under the sand. I gave the hermit an empty shell - he jumped right in and went on about his business. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
