Maximum Size
: the Parupeneus barberinoides grows up to 10 inches.
General Size Specifications
: The small size will come to you generally 2 to 3 inches; the medium generally 4 to 5 inches; the large generally 6 to 7 inches.
Minimum Tank Size
: The Bicolor Goatfish (Hawaiian) prefers a tank of at least 60 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet
: The Parupeneus barberinoides is a carnivore and likes to eat variety of meaty treats.
Level of Care

General Notes
: Parupeneus barberinoides (Bleeker 1852), the Bicolor Goatfish. A handsome species of considerable use in the aquarium interest. The `beard` of the goatfish serves as `feelers` to probe the sand for worms and other hidden detritus eating life in the sandbed. Not recommended for reef systems that use the deep sandbed method. Great for bare bottom or fish only systems.
