Minimum Tank Size: The Convict Tang prefers a tank of at least 100 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.

Range: Tahiti.
General Notes: One of the least aggressive of the tanks, the Convict Tang has the smallest of caudal spines. Can often get along with other tangs but is more of a target for any potential bullying. They tend to not be overly hardy but are a lovely and unusual addition to help control algae in a reef environment. Groups of these fish can be often seen in public aquariums and large aquariums at restaurants and make a very nice display. Best kept with Nasos and Zebrasomas.

Note: Due to variations among each species, livestock may not look identical to the image provided. Expect diversity since each animal is unique in color, texture and shape.
