Maximum Size: the Thalassoma bifasciatum grows up to 8 inches.

Minimum Tank Size: The Bluehead Wrasse prefers a tank of at least 80 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet: The Thalassoma bifasciatum is a carnivore and likes to eat Variety of meaty treats including frozen mysis, saltwater feeder shrimp, squid, scallop clam and other crustaceans..
Level of Care: The Bluehead Wrasse is a medium maintenance fish.

Water Conditions:
Range: Indo-Pacific.
General Notes: The Thalassoma bifasciatum is harmless to corals but will pick at ornamental crustaceans, snails, serpent stars, bristleworms, mantis shrimps and very small fish. Needs planty of swimming room and will harass new fish introduced to the tank if they are smaller or close in shape. Best added as one of the last fish. Keep with larger and belligerent fishes. Offer live rock with many places for them to hide in at night or when frightened as they do not bury in the sand.
