General Notes
: Amblyglyphidodon aureus (Cuvier 1830), the Golden Damselfish. This gorgeous yellow-gold damsel is found throughout the Indo-West Pacific, the Andaman Sea, eastern Indian Ocean to Fiji, throughout Micronesia. The Golden Damsel is mostly found in settings of vertical reef walls amongst corals and gorgonians. The species feeds on zooplankton. Has been noted to spawn in captivity. Very hardy fish with a great personality. Best kept with other damsels or by itself. These fish are aggressive and territorial and can harass fish many times it`s size. It is not suitable for a peaceful community tank.
