: These fish generally will come to you at 2 to 3 inches.

: The Scissortail Goby prefers a tank of at least 20 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet
: The Ptereleotris evides is a carnivore and likes to eat brine & mysid shrimp and other meaty treats (a few times/day).
Level of Care
: The Scissortail Goby is a low maintenance fish.
Behavior
: The Scissortail Goby may act peacefully toward other fish.
Breeding
: Able to breed.

: Gobies may sometimes attempt jump out. Needs places to burrow. Prefer presence of substrate. Ptereleotris evides, Jordan & Hubbs 1925, the Blackfin Dartfish. To nearly six inches in length. Unusual for tending to swim away from divers rather than dart into burrows. Prefers to school.
