Maximum Size
: the Cephalopholis urodelus grows up to 11 inches.
General Size Specifications
: The small size will come to you generally 2 to 3 inches; the medium generally 3 to 5 inches; the large generally 5 to 7 inches.
Minimum Tank Size
: The V-Tail Grouper prefers a tank of at least 100 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet
: The Cephalopholis urodelus is a carnivore and likes to eat meaty treats (like krill, small fish, shrimp).
Level of Care
: The V-Tail Grouper is a low maintenance fish.
Behavior
: The V-Tail Grouper may act aggressively toward other fish.
Hardiness
: This is a hardy fish.
Water Conditions
: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F).

: Indo-Pacific.
General Notes
: Since groupers are generally larger fish, it is recommended waste removal efforts be increased within the aquarium system. Hearty. A good eater. Aggressive, and territorial. Will readily eat smaller tankmates. It is not reef compatible due to it’s feeding habits.
