Main Features Diana`s Hogfish - Bodianus dianaAlso known as: Red Diana Hogfish Maximum Size: the Bodianus diana grows up to 10 inches. General Size Specifications: The small size will come to you generally 1 to 2½ inches; the medium generally 2½ to 4 inches; the large generally 4 to 7 inches. Minimum Tank Size: The Diana`s Hogfish prefers a tank of at least 60 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim. Diet: The Bodianus diana is a carnivore and likes to eat variety of meaty treats. Level of Care: The Diana`s Hogfish is a medium maintenance fish. Behavior: The Diana`s Hogfish may act aggressively toward other fish. Hardiness: This is a hardy fish. Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F). Range: Sri Lanka. General Notes: As with most hogfish, best not to group with smaller creatures. Bodianus diana (Lacepede 1801). Well-named after mythology’s Goddess of the Hunt, this species can become belligerent toward its tankmates.
