Feeding: It likes to eat Mostly photosynthetic, may accept meaty bits, phytoplankton and microplankton..
Behavior: The Parazoanthus species is generally semi-aggressive toward other tankmates.
Care: Many consider the Parazoanthus species a low-maintenance specimen. Not venomous.
Lighting: Has intermediate lighting needs.Symbiotic algae zooxanthellae are hosted within this organism.
Water flow: The Yellow Colony Polyp, Bali Polyps, Ballet Dancer Polyps, Yellow Encrusting Anemones requires intermediate water flow.
General notes: The Yellow Polyp is a bright yellow to goldenrod addition that is often seen in many reef aquariums. A relatively easy coral to grow and feed, can grow out of control if the right water parameters are met. This coral is often consumed as a back up resource by aiptasia eating animals like Peppermint Shrimp due to the similarity between them.
Water parameters: Keep water quality high (SG 1.023 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F).
Origin: The Yellow Polyp is commonly collected from Indonesia.
