Behavior: The Sarcophyton species is generally peaceful toward other tankmates.
Care: Many consider the Sarcophyton species a low-maintenance specimen. The Yellow Fiji leather tends to be one of the hardest leathers to get established in captivity. Once established they are hardy.
Lighting: Has moderate lighting needs.Symbiotic algae zooxanthellae are hosted within this organism.

Comments: I tried a yellow Fiji Leather when my 20 gal reef tank was new and failed. I tried again now that my tank is mature (1 yr old) and it is spectacular. The coral perked up after only a couple of hours and is the showpiece of my aquarium. After only a few weeks it has already expanded amazingly. I would highly recommend this coral. (I have the current dual 65 W compact lighting system). I buy my aquarium supplies from Marine Depot and Marine Depot Live and I am very happy with my purchases and their service.
