Maximum Size: the Chrysiptera taupou grows up to 3 inches.
General Size Specifications: The small size will come to you generally 1 to 3 inches.
Minimum Tank Size: The South Seas Devil Damsel prefers a tank of at least 30 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet: The Chrysiptera taupou is a omnivore and likes to eat variety of foods (meats & veggies).
Level of Care: The South Seas Devil Damsel is a low maintenance fish.
Behavior: The South Seas Devil Damsel may act aggressively toward other fish.
Hardiness: This is a hardy fish.
Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F).
Range: Fiji.
General Notes: Chrysiptera taupou (Jordan & Seale 1906), the Village Belle or South Seas Devil. A great beauty and relatively non-aggressive. A very nice addition as an individual specimen to reef aquariums. Very hardy fish with a great personality. Best kept with other damsels or by itself. These fish are aggressive and territorial and can harass fish many times it`s size. It is not suitable for a peaceful community tank.
