Bubble Tip Brittle `Fancy` Sea Star - Ophiarachna spAlso known as: Fancy Brittle Color: The Bubble Tip Brittle `Fancy` Sea Star has a brown, tan patterns and variations. color. Size: The Bubble Tip Brittle `Fancy` Sea Star may grow to 10 inches. Diet: Carnivore. Feeding: It likes to eat Eats meaty bits of seafood and detritus. Also will eat small fish if not feed regularly.. Behavior: The Ophiarachna sp is generally semi-aggressive toward other tankmates. Care: Many consider the Ophiarachna sp a low-maintenance specimen. Not venomous. General notes: The Bubble Tip Brittle Star requires a completely cycled and stable aquarium. Has bubble shaped apendages on arms and body and is an unusual and interesting species. Has a reputation for eating fish, the Brittle Star can attack fish if underfed and unable to scavenge for food. Feed raw shrimp, scallop, clam, mussel and other meaty bits frequently. Will learn to take food right from your fingers. This Sea Star is an excellent detrivore and will do a good job at keeping any excess food and detritus from building up.
