General Notes: Genicanthus lamarck (Lacepede 1802), Lamarck`s Angelfish. Probably the most common member of the genus.Full size angels should not be mixed with other full size angels, unless it is in a tank of at least 180 gallons. Not a brightly marked fish, the Lamark Angel still remains a popular fish with Aquarists. The Genus of this species is very unlike its other full sized relatives as this Genus feeds on Zooplankton, not Sponges, Corals or any other sessile Invertebrate. The Lamark Angel is an excellent candidate for mixing not only with other Angels, but is also an excellent candidate for a Reef type aquarium.
