General Notes: Chaetodontoplus mesoleucus (Bloch 1787), the Vermiculated Angelfish, better known in the west as the Singapore Angel, the most commonly imported member of the genus. Yes, it looks more like a Butterflyfish than an Angel.Full size angels should not be mixed with other full size angels, unless it is in a tank of at least 180 gallons. A popular Angel, the Singapore Angel is a very attractive specimen that can be kept with other Angels in a nice community type tank or Reef type aquarium. The Singapore Angel is thought to be a protogynous hermaphrodite; that is they can change from one sex to another. The Singapore Angel is also a shy species that requires a lot of hiding places, so it can adapt more readily to a captive situation.

Note: Due to variations among each species, livestock may not look identical to the image provided. Expect diversity since each animal is unique in color, texture and shape.
