Feeding: It likes to eat Eats green filamentous algae, corraline algae and may mow through colonies of polyps and damage corals..
Behavior: The Diadema savignyi is generally peaceful toward other tankmates.
Care: Many consider the Diadema savignyi a medium-maintenance specimen. Venomous, spines are slightlypoisonous
General notes: Coralline algae eater. Ultra-sensitive to alkalinity changes, and will be venomous if it dies. Spines can emit painful venom. Be careful with copper-based medication and extreme nitrate levels.
Water parameters: Keep water quality high (SG 1.023 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F).
Origin: The Longspine Black Urchin is commonly collected from Indo-Pacific.
