: the Urolophus species grows up to 24 inches.
General Size Specifications
: The California Spotted Stingray will come to you generally between 4 - 12 inches.
Minimum Tank Size
: The California Spotted Stingray prefers a tank of at least 180 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet
: The Urolophus species is a carnivore and likes to eat variety of chopped crustaceans, fish pieces, shrimp, shellfish, squid.
Level of Care
: The California Spotted Stingray is a high maintenance fish.
Behavior
: The California Spotted Stingray may act peacefully toward other fish.
THIS FISH IS VENEMOUS. Severe reactions can occur if allergic. If stung soak injured area in hot water and seek medical attention.
Hardiness
: This is a hardy fish.
Water Conditions
: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F).
Range
: the Caribbean.
General Notes
: The Spotted Stingray prefers a tank of at least 85 gallons with plenty of large open sandy areas free of sharp objects. Likes to hide in deep substrate. Sharks & rays should never be exposed to copper-based medicine. Will be shipped 4 - 12 inches.
